Okay but i am also fascinated by so many people saying sid crosses himself wrong! Thats the way I was taught growing up but I’m not from north america so maybe thats one of those niche cultural differences (head, chest, left shoulder, right shoulder is what he’s doing right?)
no, you're right, head, chest, left, right is what's the norm for the majority, including north america. i know this only because i gave in and had to look it up just because he couldn't make up his mind with what he was doing. in eastern rites, which is generally eastern europe across to the middle east, you cross right to left.
i've seen him do it the 'right' way, but i've also seen him do head, left, right, and chest at the end. and also head, chest, right, left. in the most recent video, he completely skips out chest altogether and simply does head, right, left.
it BAFFLES me. if it was just that he'd learnt it wrong, or copied someone else who did it wrong, it'd surely be the same wrong every time. but he switches it up SO often to the point where i have to imagine he simply has no idea what he's meant to be doing.
#i mean anybody who knows more about this and can correct me on any of it please do (my knowledge is extremely limited lmao)#but regardless of the 'right' or 'wrong' way to do it where he's from. he uh. he does it differently almost every time.#so i'm hesitant to say that's got anything to do with whatever order he chooses#anon#sid
